Duties & Responsibilities
The Security Manager’s primary task is to protect PepsiCo’s People, Assets and Objejectives.
He/she will identify and assess local risks, with subsequent planning and implementation of proportionate and cost effective security plans, covering; physical security, technical security, procedural security and business continuity and crisis management.
Business Process
- Implement and enforce local (Simba )PepsiCo SSA security policies, standards, guidelines and programmes in accordance with Global Security Standards
- Provide technical expertise, evaluate content and make recommendations on incorporating all facets of Corporate programmes into the business operation.
- Accountability for compliance with all company standard operating procedures, policies and guidelines, and compliance with all safety and environmental codes and regulations
- Coordinate, consult and enforce security policies, standards and initiatives, to support Simba PepsiCo sites and services
- Provide security protection for all organizational facilities: implement and manage processes to monitor the flow of personnel and vehicle traffic entering and exiting the Simba PepsiCo buildings/sites.
- Manage access and alarm systems for sites, buildings, and facilities to ensure standardisation and uniformity
- Support and consult on security measures for company special events e.g. major media events, executive security assignments and senior leadership/Exco meetings off-site as requested
- Implement and oversee special risk mitigation measures for site development and construction projects in (Simba) PepsiCo SSA ?
- Oversee the travel security program to safeguard employees traveling and attending business events in SSA region
People
- Monitor performance, identifying and resolving any issues regarding security delivery.
- Manage the operations of Security Control Rooms
- Management of the 3rd party Control Room Technicians
- Control Room Systems operational at all sites
- Collaborate with others to ensure emergency response plans and programmes are accurate, practical and current to provide for general physical security, loss prevention and protection of personnel
Customer
- Deliver security procedures to appropriate and consistent levels, ensuring the safety and security of employees and products, to deliver on business objectives in day-to-day operations
- Build relationships with relevant stakeholders and consider various viewpoints in determining courses of action to realise mutual goals.
Finance
- Track and control business assets
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 3 Year Degree in Security Management or similar qualification
- Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding business environment;
- A minimum of 5 years experience in public and/or private (manufacturing) sector with accountabilities and key measures listed above;
- Comprehensive substantive knowledge of best security risk management practices, including wirking knowledge of ISO 31000 and ISO 22301.
- Advanced, proven experience in security management, protective services, and military, intelligence or law enforcement;
- Well-refined interpersonal skills;
A working proficiency of written and spoken English
