Description

Our client requires the service of a Security and CCTV Officer who will be responsible for monitoring the security operations for the company. The Security and CCTV Officer will also be responsible for implementing security policies, regulations, rules and norms and ensure that the environment in the company is safe for all employees and visitors.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key performance areas:

  • Record keeping and reporting
  • Operational security protocols
  • Security maintenance management
  • Reporting and communication
  • Housekeeping and safety standards

Desired Experience & Qualification

The successful candidate must have:

  • Matric a relevant tertiary qualification
  • At least  5 – 8 years extensive operational security experience
  • Working hands on experience
  • Experience in enforcing appropriate security measures to comply with industry regulations.
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
  • Must be skilled at solving practical problems and dealing with variables
  • Must have strong communication skills including written, interpersonal and the ability to interact with small groups
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, relocate to near plant facility if necessary and have the desire to develop themselves for advancement
  • Must have good planning and organisational skills
  • Must demonstrate flexibility and be able to work within a demanding business environment
  • Must have knowledge of OHSA
