Client based in Isithebe, KZN currently have an opportunity for a Seaming Area Manager to be responsible for Line Managers in the Seaming Department.

Main job function

Overall responsibility of Line Managers and all related duties to area responsible for as per required experience/criteria

Qualifications

Matric

Experience/Criteria

Minimum of three years in similar position within sewing or clothing manufacturing environment

Ability to read sewing specifications

Ability to manage the coordination of the production process

Ability to liaise with the relevant support departments to ensure availability of raw materials and resources

Ability to ensure the achievement of pre-set production targets

Ability to ensure that quality standards are adhered to

Ability to supervise and discipline staff accordingly

Ability to manage staff performance

Ability to maintain product quality standards and to rectify any derivations

Ability to work with a production plan

Ability to manage all technical aspects of the sewing process to ensure that a top-quality product is produced to specification

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to motivate, lead and direct staff
