JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:                                         

 

  • Responsible for signing new business for the Cape Town Region and meet Monthly and annual new business targets

EDUCATION / COMPUTER PACKAGES:

 

  • Matric/Grade 12 Non-negotiable
  • Tertiary Education - Advantageous
  • CRM Systems
  • MS Office Suite

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • 1-year experience in courier / logistics industry
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Transport/Courier Sales Environment
  • Experience in prospecting for new business
  • Experience in achieving new business targets set
  • Experience in cross selling silo solutions

 

DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Sign new business in the Distribution market for the Cape Town Region
  • Develop new and prospective customers
  • Develop a qualified pipeline of leads and covert to actual billing sustainable clients
  • Manage Client relationship
  • Monthly billing and financial reporting
  • Analysis of sales related information and report weekly to Regional Sales Manager
  • Maintaining client database
  • Competitor and industry analysis
  • Tender Management
  • Develop and manage a qualified new business pipeline
  • Working within the group and communication thereof
  • Response and follow up sales inquiries and leads using appropriate methods
  • Mentoring junior new business sales executive
  • Succession planning
  • Ensure client files are updated and maintained as per policies and procedures
  • Meet the expected client call ratio KPI
  • Update and maintain CRM
  • Produce revenue growth by identifying decision makers, coordinating customer meetings and developing comprehensive proposals
  • Generate international revenue growth by cold calling and lead qualifying
  • Operational implementation of new business signed
  • Cross selling
  • Opportunity analysis and qualification
  • Fulfill reporting requirements including but not limited to CRM tool Management
