Description
Well established company with a solid footprint overseas, is looking for a sales manager to drive sales of this niche product in SA and southern Africa. This is a newly created position, and the potential is endless.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities for the product within the SA market and negotiate deals with retailers and other avenues to develop the business in South and Southern Africa. Product Management (planning and execution) will be a healthy part of this position, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the technical and marketing department to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Important aspects of the position entails:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships opportunities
- Be an expert with respect to the closest competition
Responsible for sales and business development working closely with the marketing manager.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Sales/Business Development Manager
- Demonstrated success establishing and "driving the numbers" of a reputable product
- Preferably experience in an outdoors or realated company (not essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant qualification preferred
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
