Description

Our client a leading provider of intergrated business solutions in SA is looking for a Sales Consultant who is  ‘sales hungry’ and who can exploit their exceptional sales skills with effective and successful results.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop new business relationships generate and negotiate new income for the company to an agreed annual target of invoiced revenue, to increase year on year.
  • Present the company to potential clients through direct communication in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails.
  • Spend time out of the office in meetings developing new business opportunities
  • Be responsible for own lead generation and appointment setting.
  • Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; in close cooperation with Commercial Operations and that of Product Marketing and Service Departments, and the fulfillment of contracts.
  • Possess drive, motivation and acute attention to detail in ensuring all sales opportunities for the company are captured and explored.
  • Have individual responsibility for new business, and be expected to self-manage, Additional internal support is available through internal departments for complex large pitches and strategies.
  • Representative of the company at industry events and tradeshows, professional manner and polished appearance will aid intention of gaining new business leads and contacts.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of potential business and ensuring all sales administration is current and up to date at all times. Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation, following Company procedure.
  • Have a thorough understanding of clients marketing objectives including their Return on Investment (ROI) objectives.
  • Responds to tenders and requests for information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Effectively interact with other departments including the product management and technical team when handing over campaigns ensuring fully and correctly briefed in all aspects of the sale.
  • Keep abreast of issues affecting our industry and collecting competitor intelligence.
  • Ensuring the company remains proactive and responsive to prospective clients.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Grade 12/Senior Certificate is a requirement.
  • Valid Driver’s license with own reliable vehicle
  • Own cell phone
  • Must be computer literate MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

 

Must have the following:

  • Very good business economic knowledge.
  • Excellent knowledge of business workflows in a sale driven company and in cooperation with end user and Key accounts.
  • Basic understanding of computer literacy.
  • Excellent printer / copier, software market knowledge.
  • Excellent general knowledge of social and economic developments.
  • Excellent knowledge of product liability, financial / lease contracts.
  • Sound knowledge of South African Office Automation, Solution Business and IT sector an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Administrative process relating to budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison.
  • Good at business planning.
  • Be able to attend all training as requested by the company.
  • Be well groomed and presentable with a clean and reliable vehicle and adhere to your letter of Appointment.
