Description

A Large multinational company in the FMCG industry is offering an opportunity to Accounting Honours/ CTA / PGDA graduates seeking to complete their SAICA articles in the upcoming year, 2022. During your SAICA training contract tenure, you will learn and be exposed to all the necessary SAICA competencies to be signed off as a registered Chartered Accountant, CA(SA).

Trainees are offered three years of CA articles in an FMCG (Fast-moving Consumer Goods) environment. This programme will grant Trainees an opportunity to be found working in a variety of challenging positions within the Group where their qualification and training is highly valued. Through a system of rotation, trainees are submerged directly in the operations of the various business segments. This opportunity also gives candidates a unique understanding of how the business fits together and ensures fast future growth. Trainees will flourish during their 3 years of SAICA articles as each trainee is appointed a dedicated mentor and will be exposed to skills that are:

Elective:

Internal Audit, Risk Management and Governance
Residual:

Auditing & Assurance

Management Decision-Making & Control

Financial Management

Taxation

The TOPP experience sets out to select and recruit aspiring CA’s who are self-starters, will challenge and seek challenge, who display entrepreneurial ability and add value, and who ultimately see themselves establishing careers within the group.

Key Performance Areas include:
Performing the internal audit projects as approved by the Audit Committee
Finalise an Audit File and propose an Audit opinion

Financial statements preparations

General accounting, taxation and internal audit tasks

Managing personal performance

More specifically, in terms of the SAICA accredited 3-year program, potential trainees need to meet the following criteria:
A completed BCom Acc (Hons)/ CTA/ PGDA degree (preferred) or any SAICA accredited degree will be considered

Computer literate: Outlook, Word, Excel etc.

Driver’s license and own vehicle (will be an advantage)

Ability to work in a team

Willingness to travel

South African citizen (Required)

Package & Remuneration
R20 000 per month
