A leading Business Processing and Functional Outsourcing company is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to join their Cape Town team.

Duties & Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Frequently visit contracted sites, liaising with client

management on level of service satisfaction and

discussing possible areas for improvement in operational

productivity and optimising utilisation of resources

capacity

Overseeing company on-site Contract Managers and

Supervisory staff to ensure all  Client

requirement Policies and Procedures, Service Level

Agreements, Scopes of Works, Work Instructions and

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) matters are

adhered and complied to

Regularly monitor the sites’ production performances,

and in collaboration with Contract Managers address

unsatisfactory production performances and non[1]conformance reports

Give direction and support on formal disciplinary matters

in collaboration with IR department, ensuring Policy and

Procedural transgressions are resolved amicably

Annual revision of contract KPA and KPI measurements,

SLA’s and Scope of Work

Annual revision of contract invoice rates to client, in

collaboration with the Contract Manager, Financial

Manager and National Operations Manager

Oversee and monitor any project analysis and

development activities conducted from time to time at

contracted sites

Give support and operational guidance, as and when

required, to company sales staff, based on the companys'

Business Process Outsourcing philosophy and models

Risk management of operations within the region

Continuously ensure client satisfaction of services and

maintain mutually conducive working relationships

Achievement of contractual production targets

Regularly monitor optimised utilisation of production

capacity and application of resources applied at

contracted sites, ensuring effective utilisation of

manhours, handling equipment machinery and

compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)

and Work Integrated (WI) methods

Assist Financial Manager with compiling of annual and

monthly budgets for respective sites

Ensure proper control is exercised over monthly

expenditure items such as remuneration payrolls, PPE,

tooling and items of consumable nature

Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained and

waste factors eliminated

Implement process evaluation and assessment methods

Apply OHS Act provisions and standards

Apply and maintain Quality Management Standards

(QMS)

Stay abreast on current developments in the fields of

manufacturing, warehousing, ecommerce, research and

development, training, labour relations and OHS

Practice good client liaison and interpersonal worker

relationships, ensuring that the operations of the

organization meet required expectation

Review client operational processes, identifying

improvement areas, make recommendations to

management and clients

Applying productivity improvement techniques

OHS Management in maintaining a positive, healthy and

safe work environment in accordance with the

appropriate legislation and regulation

Coach and mentor staff as required to improve

performance and efficiencies

Report writing, submitting monthly performance and

progress reports to Senior Management

Identify, evaluate and implement risk prevention and or

control measures

REFERRED REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Knowledge of Internal Systems (Contractor Zone and

Paymatic)

Excellent communication skills

Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel Skills

Excellent planning and process control / management

skill

Client relationship - able communicator, problem solver

Cost accounting ability

A good understanding of electronic Inventory Control

equipment, methods and standard

Staff management

Knowledge of OHSA

Desired Experience & Qualification

INHERENT REQUIREMENTS:

Matric with a tertiary qualification in Business

Administration and or Warehouse management

5 years’ experience within a similar management role of

day-to-day warehouse operations

Functional Outsourcing environment background

Extensive knowledge on warehousing and logistics

processes

Ability to work at a fast pace and handle pressure

Excellent computer skills (MS Office)

Valid driver’s license
