Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, You will manage a team of 5 Electricians and be responsible for:
- Maintaining electrical plant and equipment
- Breakdowns
- Implementing planned maintenance programmes
- Electrical installations
- Fault finding and root cause analysis
- Communicate job instructions, motivate, appraise job results, initiate training and staff development
- Coach, council and discipline employees
- Control material and human resources costs
- Ensure safe, secure and legal work environment
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
- N6/N5/N4 Electrical Engineering
- Trade Tested Electrician
- Wireman's License (Advantageous)
Skills
- 10+ years' post apprenticeship experience
- 5+ years' supervisory experience
- Experience on Electric Arc Furnaces
- PLC experience and programming knowledge
- Experience on VSD's, Overhead Cranes
- Strong communication and delegation skills
- Methodical with attention to detail

R200 per hour - R250 per hour
