Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Radio Planning & Optimization Specialist, for our client in the Telecommunications Industry, for a 6 Months Contract, based in Mpumalanga
Duties & Responsibilities
Role purpose: To analyse network performance, do site planning and optimization, Analyse VIP and High Level faults.
- Responsible for planning, optimization and fault finding of 2G/3G/LTE/5G sites (indoor, greenfield, rooftops, mini’s, macros...etc)
- Ensure optimal performance on network quality by monitoring the network statistics through the relevant tools
- Pro-actively analyse and recommend capacity dimensioning requirements on RAN/UTRNA/ETRAN
- Pro-actively analyse and verify in-depth network problems by performing traces at Node B, RNC and ATM level
- Investigate and rectify all network failures received from regular drive testing routes both internally and also by outsourcing company
- Investigate and rectify all network quality faults received from network quality, network performance, CIC, management and the NMC
- Investigate and rectify all network failures received from regular drive testing routes by outsourcing company
- Conduct cluster optimisation of new site and first order neighbours (Tilts, Azimutus, heights)
- Responsible for new site integration in terms of optimisation, performance checks and announcements
Desired Experience & Qualification
- 3 year degree or National Diploma in Electrical or Electronics in Engineering or equivalent
- Telecommunications (GSM & UTRAN) courses essential
- Minimum of 3 years relevant GSM/UMTS/LTE experience is essential
- Computer applications (e.g. Attoll ,MS Office & MAPINFO)
- Analysis tool (e.g. Netstats, Actix, Sonar and Probing tools)
- GSM,UMTS, LTE, 5G knowledge
- Network components
- Statistical tools
- Huawei BSS/RAN equipment
Package & Remuneration
Contract: 6 Months
Salary: R312-50 per hour
