Leading Global Telecommunications company seeks to employ a high spirited, motivated and self driven Public Relations Management expert with strong experience in the South African Telecommunications market.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and maintain favourable public image for employer
- Communicate programs, accomplishments and/or points of view
- Fielding media questions
- Pitching to the media
- Preparing media kits
- Organizing press conferences
- Create/write and manage press releases
- Compose speeches for organizational leaders
- Develop advertising and marketing communications material
- Prepare articles for corporate newsletters
- Release information to counter negative publicity
- Handle crisis and emergency communications
- Establish relationships with different media - top tier media in this industry
- Maintain solid relationship with top media to face challenges from competitors
- Reduce negative impact of any possible PR crisis
- Draft PR communication strategy and plan for different campaigns for products and brands
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Degree/Diploma in Public Relations, Journalism, English, Media and Communications, Marketing with a PR or Advertising concentration
- 5+ years of PR experience in the field
