Description
Hollywoodbets has an exciting opportunity available for a Production Team Leader – Signage to be based in Umhlanga, Durban. The successful incumbent will effectively and efficiently manage the Signage production and ensure that there is compliance with all policies and procedures and strict adherence to internal controls. The successful individual must ensure production reporting is done accurately and timeously and contains appropriate content to enable effective decision making. Ensure maintenance and upkeep of the company’s machinery using the most cost-efficient maintenance processes. The incumbent must ensure achievement of company’s strategic objectives, goal plans and targets and support the Operations Manager and General Manager in light of adhoc requests.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review of daily, weekly, monthly reports on production from the Signage team.
- Review workshop performance and job costing.
- Ensure most efficient maintenance and planning solutions to minimize the company’s internal cost and company downtime.
- Effectively manage and report on downtime.
- Ensure appropriate templates and models are created and saved to substantiate decision making.
- Effective management of the machinery using quality control checks, aging, running cost etc.
- Monitoring of supplier pricing (3 quotes, update regularly), back up suppliers, preferred suppliers, template maintenance.
- Establish/ implement internal controls to maintain and improve productivity.
- Ability to design and fabricate structures to assist with site installation.
- Identifying weakness accompanied by timeous corrective action.
- Management of operating costs and stock management.
- Forecasting/planning according to customer demands/events.
- Approving of asset purchases and general expenses within authority limits.
- Effective management of the Signage Team.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a management or supervisory role.
- A minimum of 5 years technical knowledge in printing and fabrication.
- Geographical knowledge
- Valid driver’s licence.
Advantageous:
- Intermediate experience with the system, Pastel Evolution.
- Relevant Diploma / Degree.

- Good communication and interpersonal skill.
- Impressive planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and must be results driven.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Team player and ability to show initiative at all times.
- Ability to work under pressure and still produce quality results timeously.
