Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- To be a constructive member of the Plant Management Team.
- To operate the plant in a profitable manner.
- To ensure the product is delivered on time.
- To ensure product quality is maintained and improved.
- To implement, and manage the Plant activities under the guidance of the Production Manager and Production Plan.
- To communicate and plan directly with the production team to organise/co-ordinate production work in the production areas.
- To supervise plant personnel and deploy appropriately.
- To monitor personnel and resources.
- To monitor the steps of processing, setting process variables and observing control points and to make corrections to abnormalities observed or reported.
- To deliver production reports as devised by the management team in a timely manner.
- To monitor operation of plant equipment.
- To review constantly the operation of the plant equipment, to minimise unplanned downtime, anticipate problems in a timely manner and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- To communicate regularly with all staff both individually and collectively, to ensure good two-way communications concerning plant issues.
- To ensure staff are adequately trained, equipped and motivated so that the defined production program can be completed in a safe, timely, and cost effective manner.
- To maintain and review training records for all staff.
- To maintain safe systems of work for staff.
- To carry out employee performance reviews based on job description, to determine competency, knowledge and contribution to the team.
- To perform all above duties according to company policies and with the best interests of the company in mind.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role.
- Qualifications – Production Management or other related qualification or experience
- Good knowledge of Non woven processes
- Good knowledge of Process flow.
- Good knowledge of materials.
- Good knowledge Process Management and Planning.
- Ability to work within timescales and budgets.
- Good inter-personnel skills.
- Must be computer literate.
- To work flexibly according to the requirements of the organisation.
- To be punctual and reliable to the organisation.
