Description
Our National client is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor for their Factory in the East of JHB.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Production Manager.
- Implement and run production plan, ensuring that all units are on time, and in full.
- Reading and following through on work orders.
- Interpret drawings, and follow through on production.
- Performs on-line testing, visual inspection, and verification to ensure it meets production specifications and standards.
- Repairs damaged components when possible.
- Maintains the quality and quantity of work.
- Functional testing and fault finding on all products.
- Planning of production, utilising labour and equipment.
- Verify quantities used and stock control (WIP).
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Work-experience:
- Ideally, comes from Steel/Heavy Metal sector - especially fabrication.
- Experience in an Assembly Shop or Final Assembly Production Department.
- Solid Management experience - at a minimum 20 direct reports
Qualifications:
- Matric
- Tertiary qualification in Production Management/Operations Management
- Computer literacy must be good (ERP knowledge is an advantage)
