Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Order Acceptance, order scheduling, and follow through on order fulfilment
Prepare production plans, corrugator capacity versus sales demand and resource feedback
Plans, sequences, and set lead times for each operational unit of production to meet delivery dates according to sales and customer orders
Reviews and tracks production orders and feedback on progress status
Review scheduling requirements and ensure manufacturing is complete within scheduled deadlines
Preparation of daily delivery schedule and reporting of order statuses
Custodian of order recons (short supplies, reinstatements and over runs)
Tracking and reporting of daily waste for daily meetings (Trim and Corrugator)
Provide support with the introduction of new products to ensure operational planning requirements are completed on time
Ensure timely, in full and accurate communication with all relevant departments on any factors which impact on delivery dates, commitments to customers, etc
Respond to demand and supply changes in a timely and accurate manner
Continually monitor and review plans and make appropriate adjustments in the event of changes and unforeseen circumstances
Liaises with sales to determine customer requirements
Communicates with customer services regarding schedules and / or changes to operations/production
Work with supply chain and manage paper stocks and delivery requirements
Work on and provide weekly / monthly reports as required
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum completed Grade 12 (Matric)
Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field in manufacturing will be an added advantage
Minimum 3 years’ work experience
Prior work experience in the corrugated industry and/or in a similar position or related positions in manufacturing will be an added advantage
Basic computer knowledge and usage of computer programs such as: MS Office
