Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Translating the long-term vision / strategy for the Product line into a medium range feature roadmap.
  • Engaging with various parties on product messaging, value propositions and upcoming features.
  • Contributing to and ensuring that the required Sales enablement deliverables are completed.
  • Translating the roadmap into a delivery backlog of sprint-level stories/cards.
  • Building the required release plans for each product based on the roadmap.
  • Prioritising the delivery team's sprint-level deliverables according to value.
  • Identifying sprint-level items that should be deferred to future milestones or sprints.
  • Working closely with the Team Lead, Technical Lead, UX Designer and Engineers.
  • Participating in and ensuring that functional design tasks are completed.
  • Maintaining the overall functional coherence of the product.
  • Ensuring that the implementation & support enablement deliverables are completed.
  • Tracking progress against the release plans for each product.
  • Producing the required release notes for each release.
  • Tracking the defined input metrics for each product and with each release.
  • Actively contributing to regular strategic workshops.
  • Engaging frequently with the customers and users of the product.
  • Demonstrating continuing industry expertise and relevance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Technical, Business or Design field

Skills / Experience:

  • 5 years experience working in a software product development team.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst.
  • 2 years of Engineering / BA / SME / Product Owner experience.
  • Excellent understanding of the payments industry landscape.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritise ruthlessly and focus on the essential drivers of value.
  • Curious about technology and its application to payments and transaction processing.
  • Good analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to use data from a variety of sources to inform decisions.
