Description
Responsible and accountable for implementing and managing Postbank’s New Product Development strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Product Management
- Manage the product development process from the concept phase to the post-launch phase.
- Develop and evaluate innovative new ideas and related solutions that improve customer acquisition and generate new revenue streams.
- Run the NPD brainstorming forums and co-ordinate outputs into concept documents.
- Launch approved product concepts and provides post launch support. This can include presentations to branch or area managements, mass customer activation shows and other forums of customer support
- Approves the final product launch plans and ensure that marketing plans are executed with the agreed timelines
- Compile reports on a monthly basis (or when requested) reflecting project status and post launch product performance.
- Research and Analysis
- Commission and analyze research to validate, prioritize, and hone new product concepts
- Develop business cases to ensure that appropriate ideas do material into products.
- Set up an information bank for all proposed ideas and keep it updated with correct status on a continuous basis
- Relationship Management
- Primary liaison with relevant stakeholders for Product Development from IT system, Operations, Strategy, Risk & Compliance, Marketing and Consumer Services to ensure that all inputs into any new product concept and prototypes are agreed upon, tested and launch successfully.
- Compliance
Ensure the effective and efficient management and control of functions/resources in accordance with the stipulations of the Public Financial Management Act, fraud prevention and risk management principles, legislation, company policies, processes, regulations.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements
- National Degree in Sales and Marketing or BCom Marketing or equivalent qualification (NQF 7)
- At least 5 years Product Management or Investment Management experience at a managerial level.
Knowledge
- Knowledge of company policies, rules and regulations
- Good knowledge of Corporate Governance principles
- In-depth understanding of product development and life cycles preferable within a retail banking environment

Package & Remuneration
Salary Scale from R464 000 – R580 000
