Description
The role of the Supply Chain Manager is to serve as the primary point of contact with internal and external parties in relation to procurement of goods and services; provide administration of the client procurement contracts, as well as implementing systems and using software designed to ensure controls are implemented to ensure full compliance with approved and legislated procurement processes including but not limited to the following: • Sign off contract checklist on initial drafts of contracts or revised contracts when required • Ensure that Terms of Contract (TOC) are understood, signed and aligned to the specification • and amount as per the approved proposal. • Examine contracts for accuracy and irregularities, report and follow up on irregularities • Prepare bids documents, and process specifications when required • Review bids for conformity to contract requirement and determine acceptable bid • Oversee the management of the procurement of goods and services • Oversee the management of the purchase order process • Support the management of technical assistance for complex departmental purchases and • service requirements in order to ensure compliance • Facilitate relationships between client and external stakeholders • Establish and maintain a turn-round time framework for the sourcing of goods and services • and the processing of supplier payments • Monitor BBEEE targets and ensure compliance against set requirements • Attend Bid Committee meetings and compile reports • Manage the process of drafting specifications for identified projects
