Description

Our client in the Automotive industry is looking for an experienced Procurement Accountant to provide support to the procurement manager in actively driving the company's inbound supply chain through procurement, management of costing, master data and pricing accuracy to improve service delivery and maintaining profit levels.
Contribute and support best practise within the procurement vision, through driving internal policies, processes and procedures, aiding in driving performance of the procurement team holistically.

Duties & Responsibilities

Contribute to achieve a 92% first pick ratio at all times.
Ensure procurement of sea freight and airfreight are carried out withthin Procurement SOP’s daily and weekly or as the business requries
Actively drive the timeliness and accuracy of all shipments costing for local, airfreight and seafreight supply.
Maintain master data accuracy through master files analytics supplied by stakeholders for importer stock lines.
Drive order management accuracy for both airfreight and seafreight in accordance to procurement policies through an updated Order control file.
Provide supply chain visibility at all times for inbound importer lines and shipments ensuring the required flow of stock replenishment is managed in accordance to FIFO principles.
Drive analystics around replenishment strategies within the procurement team members inline with costing, strategic objectives quarterly and yearly in line with order management, post order management and service delivery
Manage cost matrix’s master data, ensuring accuracy at all times.
Support procurement team members around operational functions and requirements.
Maintain the Company's Service kits ensuring stock availability.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested
Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal operating performance of the business
Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the purchasing strategy
Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on supply. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimising cost
Stay current and up to date on any internal or external factors changes that may affect the stock supply and demand and advise all relevant stakeholders of any impact timely

Desired Experience & Qualification

Matric as must have
Post Grad Tertairy qualification (BCOM) with finance, CIMA beneficial
At least 3 years Experience in an import export operational role
