Duties & Responsibilities
Job & Company Description:
Our client, a black woman led company, is looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Finance Associate to provide support to the Corporate Development Team across a variety of relevant projects. This includes acquisitions, divestures, partnerships, and other commercial opportunities such as deal origination.
Education:
- CA (SA) or other relevant finance qualifications
- CFA / MBA beneficial
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- A minimum of 5+ years’ suitable work experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, M&A or business development
- A track record in the consolidation of financial results
- A good understanding of key treasury functions
- Experience in project and risk management
- Knowledge of and experience in the commodities / mining industry will be a distinct advantage
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills
- Excellent communicator with outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional analytical skills and financial modelling acumen – non-negotiable
- Must be ambitious, comfortable with taking initiative and self-motivated
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and handle a high volume of work
- Willingness to travel
