Description
Oakley House High School in Diep River, Cape Town is an independent, co-educational school specialising in supporting individuals with specific learning difficulties.
The school invites interest in the position of:
PE and STEM teacher
This a single, fulltime post. The bulk of the role will be Physical Education, the remainder being made up of Senior Phase STEM subjects, for example Natural Science and Gd 7-9 Maths, and potentially Life Science.
Commencing Term 1, 2024
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate would be:
- SP/FET phase trained
- Experienced in teaching, ideally under CAPS
- Experienced in Special Educational Needs
- Experienced in running a single-person department, but also a team player
- Equipped with excellent planning, organisational, administrative, and communication skills
- Dynamic and strongly self-regulated
- Experienced with using technology in education (we are a Google school)
- Willing to take on duties and contribute to the small extra mural program
- Registered with SACE (include SACE number in your CV)
