Description

Main Role:

    • We are currently looking for applicants that will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of a number of Oracle databases. Duties will include the design and creation of databases, planning and maintenance of database configuration, implementation and enforcement of database security and investigating and resolving database and production system errors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

    • To provide all day to day support to staff responsible for Projects
    • Quickly and efficiently resolve customers' project or support issues
    • Data collation and uploading for all related projects
    • Generate project based reports
    • Generate utilization reports
    • Compile meeting packs - agenda, goals, outcomes, minutes etc.
    • Generate reports on project status for management
    • Generate reports on project milestones
    • Create and update projects using project management software, e.g. Microsoft Project
Profile

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant Qualifications (Diploma or Degree)
  • Administration skills
  • Timekeeping skills
  • Proven track record working in the capacity of Database Administrator.

Additional Competencies for success:

  • Creativity approach to problem solving
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Structured working methods
  • Exposure to/understanding of GSM technologies a plus
  • Understanding of relational database
  • Unix (HP-UX, Solaris and/or AIX) experience advantageous
