Duties & Responsibilities

Operational/Account Manager

 

This person will be responsible for the management of all staff on the related contract. Relationship management, market research, merchandising, training, problem solving, sales, stock control, data collection, territory development and staff management. Building relationship with the client.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage of all staff but no limited to.
  • Achieving specific targets and objectives in line with the Clients strategy.
  • Motivating, training and assisting all staff working within the designated distribution outlets.
  • Collection of data
  • Drive Sales targets through the staff.
  • Manage staff during weekend promotions
  • Ensure all in-store staff have reported for duty on a daily basis
  • Ensure all leave forms and sick notes are completed and handed in to HR
  • Ensure all contracts, policies and all other relevant documentation are completed when In-store staff is employed, completed documentation to be handed to HR
  • Any HR issues to be reported to HR on a daily basis
  • Follow-up on outstanding staff issues.
  • Working closely with visual display staff and department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximise customer interest and sales;
  • Maintaining awareness of competitors' performance to assist staff to achieve their sales targets;
  • Gathering information on customers' reactions to products;
  • Check stock availability and raise any issues to the client.
  • Adhere to entrance policy of each store. Sign in correctly with CGC cards
  • Customer Service
  • Any ad hoc request from management.
  • Neatness – uniform (men with shirts tucked in neatly, ladies dressed neat, nothing showing provocatively.)
  • Need to notify line management before 9am if you cannot go to work via SMS or Phone Call. Doctor’s note needs to be sent through before 10am the next day.
  • Leave needs to be planned and approved at least three weeks in advance.
  • Report to General Manager by 9am daily on the agenda for the day.
  • Meet with client on a regular basis and/or as per their requests to update on issues and concerns
