Description
Our client based in Paarl, Western Cape is seeking an Operations Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible to assist the Managers’ in the management of the operations and the achievement of targets and business strategies. The Operations Manager will oversee a number of electrical/electronic projects including resource management, procurement processes and health and safety and environmental matters
Duties & Responsibilities
Main job function
Plan activities and coordinate resources to ensure uninterrupted operations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Ensure adequate security measures are implemented i.e. access control, money transfers, internal theft etc.
Continuous improvement of operations by identifying key performance improvement areas (e.g. customers, suppliers, systems, processes, team development)
Ensure requirements for the different seasons are sufficient and relevant operational plans are in place for manning levels, maintenance and system implementation
Evaluate the requirements of the operation on an ongoing basis and make recommendations for improvement
Monitor customer relationships, complaints and enquiries and implement actions to resolve problems and maintain a positive company image
Oversee and manage the maintenance and cleanliness
Review all procedure manuals for operations and maintenance in conjunction with the Contracts
Manager on an annual basis
Update relevant reports and submit to appropriate stakeholders
Ensure that all procedures, reports and controls for all the equipment maintenance are carried out
Ensure that all procedures, reports and controls for all plant and equipment maintenance are carried out
Ensure all staff HR matters e.g. grievances, disciplinary enquiries, hearings, counselling, performance appraisals are carried out as per company procedures
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
Relevant Management and/or Engineering Degree or Advanced Diploma
Project Management Qualification will be an advantage
Registration with a professional body is A MUST
