Operations Manager will be responsible for managing branch operations and to ensure that day to day branch activities are functioning at optimal levels, as well as management of Operational staff.

• Ensure that the branch operations perform against agreed targets / budgets and manage all costs within the operation
• Direct, manage and coordinate the Depot, transportation, and customer services activities
• Supervise team members
• Effective Load planning
• Maintain health and safety standards within the Depot
• Coordinate and execute load instructions
• Effective dispatch planning as per customer requirements
• Identify and report problem areas
• Manage clocking times and overtime daily, to ensure clocking accuracy and eliminate excess overtime
• Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
• Responsible for managing discipline with regards to COVID, Health & Safety regulations, and uploading of documents / check sheets

• Matric
• Degree / Diploma in Logistics or related field
• Min. 3 - 5 years’ experience in logistics, and in a Supervisory role
• Reporting and effective communication
• Computer literate
• Strong MS Excel proficiency
• Knowledge of vehicle tracking systems, fleet management and route planning
• Able to work under pressure
• Excellent people management skills
