Description
REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12. Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council in terms of Government notice 425 i.e. diploma/degree in Nursing as a Professional Nurse, plus a post basic qualification with the duration of at least 1 year in the Diploma in Basic Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing science. A minimum of 9 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing council in General Nursing. Diploma/Degree in Nursing Management will be an added advantage. Service certificates are compulsory. At least 5 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognizable experience after obtaining the one year post basic qualification in advanced midwifery Nursing Science. Strong leadership, good communication and sound interpersonal skills are necessary, computer; iterate. Verified proof of experience. Service certificates are compulsory, South African Nursing Council annual practicing certificate. Valid driver�??s license.
Skills and Experience:
DUTIES: Co-ordination of optimal, holistic specialized nursing care provided within set standards and a professional/legal framework. Manage effectively the utilization and supervision of Human, Financial and services resources. Co-ordination of the provision of effective training and research. Provision of effective support to Nursing Services. Maintain Professional growth/ethical standards and development of self and subordinates.
