Description
We are looking to recruit a 6 Months Fixed Term Contract - Nightshift Pharmacist, to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based at the Cape Town Branch and will report to the Responsible Pharmacist. Working Hours: Monday to Friday from 17:00pm to 05:00am
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
- To ensure compliance with the medicines and related substances Act, Act 101 of 1965 and subsequently amended and the Pharmacy Act, Act 53 of 1974 and as subsequently amended, for UPD wholesale.
Job Objectives:
- To ensure compliance with quality & regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Ensure correct handling and storage of products.
- Maintain the Quality Managements System (QMS) by preparing and updating SOPs, conducting internal and external audits and monitoring staff training.
- To ensure effective management of product returns , product recall, destruction process and reporting of product complaints/ Adverse events
- Effective management of CAPAs & deviations and change controls calibration & maintenance of critical equipment.
- Ensure that favourable audit reports are received from regulatory authorities, to formulate replies to audits reports.
- To ensure management of the schedule 5 and 6 products by conducting cycle counts and balancing the register quarterly. Processing orders and dispensing according to the regulations and obtaining DOH approval for destruction.
- To be available to provide emergency services after hours.
- To ensure that there is continuous Pharmacist supervision of premises during operating hours.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Experience and Education:
- B. Pharm. Degree
- Min 3 Years’ experience in Wholesale or Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday from 17:00pm to 05:00am
Job related knowledge and skills:
- Knowledge of GWP/GDP/GMP
- Pharmaceutical Industry Laws and Regulations and Ethics.
- Current valid registration in good standing with SAPC
- Staff management
