Description
To drive the development of new stores in key strategic locations so as to grow our Retail and Franchisee store base in a timeous and cost effective basis. Providing stores in locations which maximise their retail ability while maintaining our rules around permisable development oppurtunities.
Duties & Responsibilities
New Business: Identify, negotiate and secure new and existing commercial/retail development opportunities for ESKORT Corporate and Franchisee store as per our expansion program. • Build relationships with Property Developers/Agents to ensure and maintain a constant development pipeline. • Control all lease negotiations with Developers and Landlords • Co-ordinate developer providing a retail unit as per our specification for “White Box” as per our ESKORT specification.
Development; Provide strategic advancements in the field of store development • Control and manage the preferred suppliers list • Control and manage development budget and project specific budget • Control and manage the image of all ESKORT stores • Improve communication between all departments to facilitate in the successful launching of all stores • Report to management on progress of all new stores and revamps.
Project Management; Main contractor and sub-contractor appointments • Proficiency on MS Office Suite. • Initiate fit-out and manage fit-out process • Control and coordinate H&S onsite • Control project costs and timelines • Obtain all required council and legal approvals/certifications to allow for legal trading.
Other; Arrange general maintenace of existing stores. • Evaluate where costs savings can be made to drive down new store costs
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualifications; Grade 12. A Diploma/Degree in Architectural, Building Science or Project Management.
- Experience; 5 - 8 Years experience working in a retail enviroment.
- Skills Required:Good communication skills • Financial understanding of feasibility/viability studies and project costings • MS Projects • Analytical skills • Dependable, self-starter, proactive, high energy levels and concise • Ability to motivate a team of people and create relationships • Ability to read and understand shopping centre plans • Council approval process knowledge and experience • Good knowledge of store operations • Willingness to travel and work long hours when required (store visits/launches)
