A company in Cape Town is looking for a strong and experienced New Business Development Consultant to join their team immediately.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and Target prospects to secure new business appointments, this is done through cold calling (physical door to door calling or telephonic calling)
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements by listening to customer requirements and presenting solutions appropriately
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and “closing the deal”.
  • Challenging objections with a view to getting the customer to buy company services
  • Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a Tender, RFQ, RFP’s and formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
  • Negotiating with clients on price, costs, delivery, specials and promotions
  • Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries.
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements.
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations.
  • Preparing and presenting business proposals to corporate companies and other sectors.
  • Negotiate client rate increases
  • Provision of monthly client business report (as requested), SLA’s to Top customers and related reports.
  • Build lasting business relationships with customers.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric pass and completion
  • Must be experienced in Logistics/Transport/Freight and New Business Sales - with proven sales figures
  • Computer Literacy: Google, Word, Excel and CRM System
  • Methodical, articulate and systematic
  • Excellent Communication Skills {Written and Oral}
  • Strong Administrative Skills
  • Candidates should have a vehicle license and roadworthy vehicle
  • Candidates must have a smart phone and be prepared to use it in the maintenance of clients and generation of new business
  • Candidate must have a likable demeanor and be able to interact easily with customer’s / colleagues
  • Energetic, high action person.

Package & Remuneration

Basic R21 000 negotiable

R400 tablet allowance

240L fuel allowance

R4 000.00 car allowance
