Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintaining and monitoring accounts
- Manage and monitor company’s total debtor’s book
- Ensure that book debt is secured and collected within
- terms
- Monitor and review special arrangements and legal
- accounts
- Setting up payment plans incurring interest
- Reviewing – Approve and decline new accounts
- Ensuring appropriate security when required to
- mitigate risk
- Submitting and monitoring claims with CGIC
- Setting of procedures and policies ensuring that they
- are adhered to
- Reconciling accounts
- Weekly cash projections
- Liaising with sales staff
- Ensuring internal and external queries are resolved
- Local and export customers
Staff – Manage credit control department
- Setting of objectives and targets
- Appraisals of key performance areas
- Training of personnel
- Setting and analysing budgets/fixed costs
- Interviewing/employing staff members
Reports
- Monthly debtor’s summary
- Special arrangement accounts progress
- Process legal accounts and costs
- Provisions for doubtful debts
- Declarations for CGIC
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must have Credit Management level 4 qualification or higher and a Finance related degree (Bcom etc.).
- A minimum of 5 years in a top Credit Manager position
- Must have national credit management experience,running a Credit Control department that oversees a number of company’s books
- Manufacturing experience
- MS Excel and MS Word literacy
- Good oral and written communication skill
- Able to work accurately and under pressure
- Self-starter & teamwork persona
