Our client, one of the South-Africa’s most esteemed Financial Business Providers, is looking for a Mid-level Mergers and Acquisitions Associate to join their team!
Duties & Responsibilities
Job & Company Description:
Our client’s scope of services includes management of the financial business services, such as life assurance, banking, general insurance, health, credit, and asset management in emerging markets outside South Africa. They are looking for a French-speaking professional to assist in the management and implementation of their Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) plan. The candidate will be based in Johannesburg or Cape Town.
Education:
- CA(SA) / BCom / BSc / Bus Sci qualifications
- Alternative qualifications will be considered based on related skills and experience
- CFA qualification beneficial
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Fluent in French (non-negotiable)
- Portuguese speaking (highly beneficial)
- 2 - 3 Years related post-qualifying experience in general insurance, due diligence, transaction services or execution in mergers and acquisitions
- Ability to manage the strategic M&A plan in line with senior management
- Can execute on planning and valuations
- Skilled in the efficient execution and delivery of the due diligence process
- Can negotiate vital terms and legal documentation submitted to clients
- Competent in successfully communicating sections of activity to all relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
