Description

The Office of Independent School Evaluations, Southern Africa (OISESA) seeks to appoint two accomplished and experienced mentors to conduct quality assurance evaluations at ISASA member schools across Southern Africa. OISESA was established in May 2022 – more information is available on the OISESA website.

Mentors will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the OISESA Executive Assistant in planning and implementing all the required logistics for the school visits, communication around the quality assurance process, together with the generation of the various documents and comprehensive reports.

  • Report writing and administration

  • Training of school Quality Assurance Teams

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as head of an independent school.
  • Very good computer literacy skills, including using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive, and Microsoft Teams for online training.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • Very strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to compile, write and edit comprehensive reports, with a strategic focus.
  • Ability to meet frequent and diverse timelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams, demonstrating empathy and active listening skills.
  • Demonstrate an innovative approach to mentorship throughout the evaluation process.
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

Candidates will be expected to assume partial duties either late in 2023 or from the beginning of 2024. Online training will be provided.
