Description
The Manager – Data Analytics will support the Digital and Analytics Director in executing on the Digital and Analytics strategy. They will contribute to the growth and management of the Digital and Analytics business and assume a key role in the delivery of client projects, solutions and products.
Business Development:
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients
- Champions the use of Data Analytics and Digital Solutions
- Writes new business proposals and contributes to other Digital and Analytics business development activities
- Participates in the planning processes of the Digital and Analytics business
- Contributes to thought leadership on the use and advancement of Data Analytics and Digital Solutions
Engagement Delivery:
- Leads and manages Data Analytics engagements including planning, execution and reporting
- Leads the development of data-driven Digital solutions
- Manages the engagement economics on projects
- Manages engagement level issues and risks on own projects
- Unpacks business problems and frames analytics driven digital solutions
- Maps analytics solutions to data requirements and facilitates the data acquisition process
- Ensures data quality and manages the data reconciliation process
- Directs junior staff on analytics execution and digital solution development
- Generates impactful insights from analysis
- Writes and presents reports
Practice Management:
- Contributes to the implementation of the Digital and Analytics strategy
- Ensures adherence to firm’s quality and risk management processes
- Keeps abreast of developments and innovation in the Data Analytics and Digital spaces
- Upskills junior Digital and Analytics staff
- Participates in junior staff mentoring and performance management process
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor`s Degree) with a major in Maths and Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Minimum of 7 years Data Analytics experience
- Experience in scripting using analytics tools such as T-SQL or SAS is essential
- Experience in using data visualisation tools such as MS Power BI or Tableau or Qlik is essential
- Experience in developing and deploying artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms and solutions essential
- Experience in using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is essential. Certification advantageous
- Experience in consulting environment advantageous
- Project management experience advantageous
- Staff management experience essential
