This role will support the CFO and with all matters relating to financial performance and analysis.

• Responsible for full finance function and monthly reporting
• Monthly month-end close, variance analysis and report submissions
• VAT submissions
• Cash flow forecasts and cash management
• Quarterly forecasting
• Liaising with external auditors
• Build relationships with all external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, banks, SARS, etc)
• Ensure best practice is applied in all financial disciplines
• Formulation of capex business plans
• Ad-hoc financial and admin functions

• Relevant Accounting qualifications – BCom with at least 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role
• Experience in managing a team
• Computer Literacy: Strong PC and MS Office Suite skills (Excel Advanced Level); experience with Sage Evolution would be advantageous

• Ability to form close working relationships with non-finance members of staff
• Effective communicator, building trust and influence where required
• Strong business planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling skills
• Exposure to stock management in a wholesale/retail environment
• Ability to quickly analyse financial data and report on findings
• Experience in reporting to senior management
• Attention to detail and methodical approach
• Speed and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Must be assertive and a self-starter
