Maintenance Planner: REF MPLA001

Purpose of Role:
The main purpose of the job is to prepare, coordinate and update maintenance planning requirements in order to reduce the downtime of all equipment/machinery.
Role Context
Design, develop and implement a maintenance plan for equipment and machinery, Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair / preventive / predictive / design-out activities on the plant and equipment, Provide service forecast, component forecast, undercarriage forecast, Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance and planning and scheduling business flow process, Continually improving planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency, Arrange resources to conduct work, Open and close all jobs. Ensure all parts, labour and buy outs are on the jobs, Plan PIP and service information’s, Work to extract optimum efficiency from all equipment and machinery, Communicate with supervisor to inform on maintenance activities performed and availability of equipment.
Core Work Outputs:
Maintenance plan, Delivery schedule, Down time/ Equipment/Machine availability, Performance matrix, Availability 85%, MTTR less than 6 hours, MTBS more than 40 hours, Overtime rate, Improvement opportunities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12/N3, Applicable Trade Certificate, Computer literate (Word, excel, Power Point, etc.) and working knowledge of mine planning software, Valid drivers’ license.
Inherent Requirements:
Must be medically fit.
