Description
IQbusiness is looking for a qualified Accountant to work closely with Subsidiary companies. Preference would be a candidate that has knowledge and experience in project/annuity accounting.
The purpose of the position is to perform various accounting functions within the organisation and to provide input and assistance to the Senior M&A Accountant and Finance Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
Experience:
- 3-5 years' experience in an accounting function
- Project Annuity Accounting Advantageous
Key Responsibilities And/or Outputs
Expenditure and Asset Administration
- Prepare monthly journals (prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc.)
- Review expenditure allocation and payments
- Validate and review payments for supplier invoices
- Monitor online and credit card payments as and when required
Accounting and Financial Administration
- Monthly forecast analysis against actuals
- Review of creditors reconciliations
- Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure all invoices raised in the month are IFRS15 compliant
- Co-ordinate cash flow forecast for subsidiaries
- Assist with managing month-end and year-end financial processes
Governance, Compliance, Audit and Risk Administration
- Assist with ensuring legislative compliance and implementation of recognized accounting standards and principles
- Assist with planning and coordinating external audit
Statutory Returns and Reporting
- Review the VAT reconciliation and load onto the submission portal
BEE Preferential Procurement
- Actively contribute to improving the Company's BEE rating by ensuring that all procurement is managed in terms of the provisions of the BBBEE Act
- Ensure that the BEE pack is compiled
