Description
The DevOps Engineer consults with internal clients about the software technology environment with medium to high complexity. They translate business requirements into technology terms and develop database scripts to complete client's requests. The primary objective of the DevOps Engineer is to work with internal clients, the technical teams, and business units to ensure only best practice business processes are employed and SLAs are met.
" Develops, analyzes and maintains tools that support and automate processes for software product release. Writes installation scripts and programs code for installation of products. Works with project teams and in agile teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and then initiates the build and packaging process. Compiles and assembles software from source code. Ensures tools are stored in source control. Supports development for software package registry and delivery. Works with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements. Works with development engineers to correct build errors ."
Duties & Responsibilities
• Minimum of 7 years of software development experience in the following technologies and components
• MicrosoftoIIS, SSIS, SSRS
oSQL Server - SQL query writing, Stored procedures, Views, Transactional Processing - (deep understanding of ACID principals)
oC#
oASP.net 3.5 Forms
oASP.net 5.0 MVC
oIntermediate Microsoft Server Administration
oWindows Services
oSharePoint integration (advantageous)
• JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks with HTML 4.0 - 5.0
• Experience writing and using REST APIs
• Integration with SAP ECC or SAP S4 advantageous
• Software Development Architectures and Methodologies
oGang of 4 architecture standards
oSOLID and FLUID methodologies
oWorking in Pinvoke
• Continuous integration experience (advantageous)
• Experience with safe source (Git) repository and code version control
• Flexibility, willingness to be available after hours on an emergency basis as needed.
• Experience on ticketing systems for customer services.
