Description
Our client in the Agricultural Industry in Robertson, Western Cape, has a vacancy for a Purchasing & Logistics coordinator to join their dynamic team. This person will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, planning and managing deliveries and logistics, assisting and coordinating of purchasing activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Negotiate and obtain freight quotations
- Provide and maintain good customer service and elevate any customer complaints
- Process all orders and keep schedules and record of purchases
- Maintain and manage customer files
- Keep record of technical information and services
- Assist the Manager with day to day logistics and purchasing tasks and coordinating projects and activities as requested
- Plan, monitor and coordinate deliveries (export and local) and manage, together with production, the timely flow of customer orders
- Participate in meetings as required
- Update delivery activity calendar
- Effective handling of detailed information and consistent attention to detail
- Maintaining an effective performance under pressure
- Systematically organising activities and setting time frames and priorities
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written in Afrikaans and English)
- Ability to perform calculations and prepare detailed reports
- Operate Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Customer and personal service
- Must be able to take initiative
- Excellent administration and negotiating skills
Desired Experience & Qualification
Must have a post-matric logistics related qualification.
