Description
Responsibilities:

- Configuring Linux OS, network and applications for new systems.
-
- Maintaining and contributing to system standards.
-
- Improving and automating support tasks.
-
- Managing system security.
-
- Assisting with OS and managing application patches.
-
- Managing system capacity and performance.
-
- Researching / recommending innovative approaches to improve efficiency.
-
- Updating support ticketing information and ensuring all tickets are closed when completed.

- Assisting with the creation of root cause analysis documentation.
Profile
Qualification:
- A tertiary Engineering or Computer Science degree.
Skills / Experience:
- A high degree of interest, experience and certification in Linux.
- Shell scripting ability for system administration.
- Linux system administration:
- Red Hat / Centos | Apache / NGINX.
- MySQL / MariaDB / MongoDB | Bash | Python.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies:
- TCP/IP | SOAP | HTTP | XML | RADIUS | Diameter | SCTP.
- Telecommunications technologies:
- SS7 | SIGTRAN | MTP.
- SCCP | TCAP | MAP | CAP, etc.
- Experience in the following:
- Load Balancers | Routers | Firewalls.
- Big Data / Analytics / Monitoring experience using Elastic, Tableau, Grafana, Prometheus.
- OpenStack | KVM | Xen | VMware | Docker | Kubernetes | Redis.
- Prior experience with testing software such as Selenium etc.
