Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage onsite and offsite Operations Controllers
- Planning and execution of loads
- Liaising with customers
- Ensure that customer receive excellent service and that all communications with customers is up to standard
- Fleet control i.e., planning service schedules, COFs, and ensuring that all vehicles are washed and clean
- Risk control
- Identify inefficiencies and rectify in order to minimise any losses or downtime
- Assist the Control Room and ensure that accurate information is sent to the clients
- Manage staff time keeping
- Minimize overtime costs
- Conduct disciplinary hearings
- Ensure all company SOPs are adhered to
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric
- Degree / Diploma in Logistics or similar advantageous
- Min. 5 years’ experience in logistics
- Proven track record in logistics planning
- Staff management experience
- Transport Management Systems experience
- Strong admin control experience
- POD documentation management
- Technical knowledge on vehicles advantageous
- Knowledge of telematic systems advantageous
