Description
A South African-based imagination-focused mobile platform, is seeking a skilled, creative Junior Android Mobile Developer to support the platform’s mobile applications through the next phase of growth, as they enter new markets. This includes developing additional functionality and supporting the current feature set. You would be working most closely with a Senior Mobile Developer, a Junior Data Analyst and the Chief Technology Officer.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Junior mobile developer with 2 - 4 years total experience
- BSc in computer science or other technical discipline, or equivalent working experience
- Demonstrated experience building high quality Android apps (experience with paid apps is
- preferred)
- Proficiency in Kotlin (at least 2 years experience)
- Interest in best-practice mobile UI design principles (eg. Google Material Design)
- Experience with Node.js backends for mobile applications preferable but not required
- Experience with Angular Web Development preferable but not required
- Knowledge of architecture and data practices to enable data analytics and business reporting
- Appetite to learn or apply cloud services technologies (AWS)
- Knowledge of build systems i.e continuous integration and delivery is an added advantage
