Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide computer users with the appropriate IT Technical Support and advice
  • A strong technical understanding of the hardware, software and systems being supported
  • Install, configure and/or upgrade PC's and laptops
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software or hardware either in the office or remotely
  • Manage IT projects which require focus on planning through to end result
  • Implement new technologies in the company with the aim of suitable digital transformation, to optimize performance and also to ensure the welbeing of staff
  • Assist to align IT with other requirements to promote teamwork for technical
  • Assist with installing telephones, printers, scanners, mobile/smart phones, wireless access points etc. related to all desktop infrastructure in the Organization, in accordance with IT department standards
  • Assist with Assembly Booklet printing as and when the need arises, to keep the factory running
  • Provide advice and technical guidance to all staff regarding their incidents or requests
  • Maintain installed PCs, laptops, printers, scanners etc. with routine maintenance as required, and also as requested by Head Office
  • Remove and/or replace IT hardware from relevant staff/offices, as requested by your Manager
  • Unpack any boxes of IT equipment which may have been received from other branches, and note all asset numbers for them to be updated in the IT assets register
  • Pack and send any IT equipment to other branches, as and when required by them
  • Arrange for any Repairs of IT equipment to be collected, and received back from the repair company
  • Identify, log and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systems

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • MCDST (Microsoft certified desktop support technician)
  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
  • MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional)
  • HDI – Desktop Support Technician Certifications
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in the IT technical field, with desktop support and problem solving experience
