Objectives:

To support user of DTBSA with all Parts Logistics and sales related systems and applications. To identify and implement digital solutions projects aimed at maintaining current applications and enhancing user  and customers experience. To engage in all relevant business projects and product launches ensuring timely delivery of the systems.  All tasks to be done in compliance to the Company's Culture Statement, Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E.Q. requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E.Q. tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.

Main Tasks:

  • System & Application Support: Ensure optimal operation of all systems related to the parts logistics and sales functions. To provide first level support function to the business user and escalate all unresolved issued to the second level support team. This includes but is not limited to DNI and Paragon as well as in-house system interfaces.
  • Digital Solutions & Project: To identify and support with the implementation of systems/applications that could enhance the user and customer experience related to the parts logistics and sales function. To support with all business projects related to the parts logistics and sales environment ensuring all the system upgrades and requirements are implemented to ensure the projects are rolled out within specified time lines.
  • Supplier/Contractor Management: Management of suppliers service delivery according to SLA/contract agreements. Sourcing suitable suppliers for system support and developments according to business needs.
  • Learning Management: To support with the capturing of business processes related to the system and applications implemented in the team. To ensure knowledge is shared within the business and that any training requirements that exist on the systems can be easily met.
  • Self-development: To attend relevant training in order to be upskilled in the areas of digital innovation, business intelligence and other IT related topics. Including on the job training and developing networks within the Daimler IT organization.

Skills, Knowledge & Attributes:

  • Automotive business and systems processes
  • Knowledge of DTBSA applications and IT landscape will be advantageous

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in general IT technology and support
  • 3-5 years’ experience functional knowledge or related experience
  • Working in an enterprise environment,  supporting a complex integrated environment
  • Experience with Software Development Life-cycle
  • Experience with consulting in the Automotive space would be an added advantage

 

  • Matric/Grade 12 and 3 years relevant IT Qualification
  • ITIL V3 (or higher) Foundation Certificate (advantageous)
