The role entails working as part of the Strategic Investment team who is responsible for identifying business opportunities and secure investments that promote the financial interests of Bigen

• Relevant bachelor degree plus finance related Honors degree
• A minimum of 5 years experience in corporate finance, investment management or private equity
• Strong financial, analytical and credit skills;
• Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Internal / external client interaction for business generation
• Ability to work in a team environment with numerous conflicting deadlines
• Ability to engage and communicate with both internal and external parties
• Strong belief in socio-economic development
• Demonstrated commercial or entrepreneurial aptitude

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) or Principal Investment Officer (PIO) with conducting the Bigen Group capital needs assessment
• Contribute to the development of a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects by supporting the CIO or PIO with the development of policy, term sheets and project preparation agreements
• Analyse business cases and rank projects
• Prepare project information memoranda, appraisals and due diligence reports for submission to EXCO (or relevant investment committee)
• Prepare and analyse financial models for potential transactions
• Conducting comprehensive company and industry research
• Participating in the due-diligence process for approval processes
• Preparing detailed transaction memoranda and internal presentations
• Post-investment management support
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to increase socio-economic development impact
• Build and maintain relationships with Bigen directorates, external project promoters and potential co-   investors
