Description
Sound knowledge and understanding of the Radio Frequency, Duct, Manholes, Fibre environment and products supplied by the company. Sound knowledge of the companys financial structures, accounting procedures and the principles of product life cycle as well as purchasing processes.
Understand the competition as well as the principles of competitive advantage. Understanding and interpreting client requirements. Provide quotes, obtain and process orders. Manage queries, respond in a timely manner and drive the goal of meeting monthly sales targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key performance areas:
- In-depth product knowledge, understanding of company capabilities and service, and effectively communicating all offerings to the client (Sales Process and Contract Management)
- Strong customer relationships (internal and external) and comprehensive understanding of your clients and their activities (Customer Intimacy).
- Daily managing the internal sales team performance and sales objectives -including performance reviews with HR
- Managing team to achieve assigned targets for monthly and yearly set Company targets
- Account profiling; identifying new prospects and new opportunities within existing portfolio
- Manage budgets and implement tight controls
- Identify and grow opportunities within portfolio and collaborate with the sales team to ensure growth attainment.
- Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to all stakeholders
- Manage all non-conformances (quality, delivery etc) and report accordingly
- Preparation and submission of reports to the CSO where and when needed for Internal Sales Reports
Key Functions, Tasks and Duties:
- Manage and support of internal sales team
- Build and maintain relationships with internal team
- Render efficient and effective support to your internal team
- Order control and backorder management.
- Identify, communicate and support with potential problems
- Assist in the identifying of customers and their needs
- Liaison with client
- Information support to client
- Quoting, invoicing, receiving, and processing of customer orders
- Assisting the finance department (accounts queries) and managing any client special requirements eg. Shipping arrangements
- Addressing queries through the generation of a workable solution
- Render efficient and effective support to clients and other stakeholders
- Identify purchase short comings and ensure that the relevant information is communicated to the internal team, product managers and purchasing department
- Build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships
- On time delivery of products and meeting all deadlines
- Product knowledge
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Code 8 drivers licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Must have the desire to pursue qualifications within the Sales field
- At least 3 years extensive internal and/ or sales experience in the telecommunication industry
- Extensive management experience
- Knowledge or background within the ICT Industry would be advantageous
- Sage Accpac Order Entry Inventory Control.
- Computer literacy MS Office with intermediate skills in MS Excel
- Excellent Management skills
- Good selling ability
- Process and detail orientated
- People skills (interpersonal skills)
- Analytical and decision-making skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to negotiate and sales skills
- Be presentable, well-spoken and diplomatic
- May sometimes require long working hours.
- May occasionally be required to attend meetings, functions/events.

- Continuous reporting and feedback to CSO (written and verbal)
- Must familiarize yourself with all company policies and procedures.
- Must be willing to comply with any legislative and/or regulatory rules and regulations related to your job function.
