Duties & Responsibilities
Directly Reports to: Internal: Operations Manager. External: Supervisors and Managers on Site On & Offshore
Close working relationships with:
Internal: Workshop Supervisor, Operations manager and Quality personnel, OPS Assistants, Equipment Certification Coordinator
External: External 3rd Party Inspectors, Client Valve Coordinators
Purpose of Position: To be competent in the strip, build & test process of all types of Valves and associated actuation. To be willing to work and assist in all departments as and when required. Have and in depth knowledge of Instrumentation and be able and willing to transfer knowledge
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out inspections, repair and testing on valves/actuators & instrumentation as required by the company in accordance with company procedures
Active participation in continual improvements for safety and throughput
Maintain housekeeping in workshop and ensure all work areas are clean and tidy including company assets & transport
Continually demonstrate safe operation of valve test equipment
Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment and P.P.E.
Other operational duties as requested by Manager
Follow instructions from senior personnel within the valves department
Support other Company businesses lines as requested and instructed by the workshop supervisor
Proactively train new starts and apprentices on calibration equipment
Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate out of hours workload when required
Offer proactive proposals to improve workshop, yard and processes
Comprehensive and timely reporting to the Management, Engineering and Head Office staff on Project progress and issues
To perform in a professional, safe and diligent manner in the execution of all workshop activities
As part of a team you are to learn testing and fault finding of Hydraulic Systems and Mechanical components
Carrying out on – site installations / maintenance
Manufacture hose assemblies in-house
Pressure test of hose assemblies, both in house assembled and externally supplies hose assemblies.
Off Shore:
Gather Equipment for mobilization, ensuring all items are accurately documented
Safe loading & unloading of all containers and equipment as per regulations
Receiving of 3rd party equipment and checking of all paperwork
Working safely as part of the mobilization team
Pressure Testing, maintenance & preparation of company owned equipment
Ensure demobilization is actioned in a quick, safe & efficient manner, completing all relevant documentation
Accurate storage of all fittings, flanges, valves, equipment and hoses within the mob area
Ensure good communication with OPS/ Maintenance Team
Ensure mob area is kept clean & organized

Ensure that all Quality and operational procedures as identified in company QA Manuals are adhered to at all times
