Our client, a non-profit organization in Belgium who focus strongly on promoting knowledge of occupational hygiene, is looking to appoint a Hygienist Leader to manage and coordinate their projects.
The successful candidate will operate as the link between the laboratories, clients and the daily management of the company.
Note : This position is based in Belgium - all work permits and visa's are facilitated by our client.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Minimum a Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Chemistry, Safety or related Science.
• Minimum of 5 years working in industrial hygiene
• Minimum of 3 years in a lead role
• Experience is project leading is a plus

Additional Qualifications: 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills (Dutch and English)
• Ability to provide timely and effective communications to all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to use influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectives
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple/varied tasks efficiently
• Certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist
• Self-motivated with a strong initiative and bias for action
• Uncompromising drive for excellence and willingness to escalate issues as needed

Specific responsibilities include: 

For their full customers:

• Develop, implement and improve the IH and OH programs and standards
• Set clear expectations related to what is required by the clients to ensure compliance and establish a process to verify compliance
• Provide hands-on expertise to implement and maintain IH/OH programs
• Ensure that the IH Exposure Assessments and monitoring are potential health risks and resources where needed

For their lab customers: 

• Guide them in their exposure assessment plan (methods, equipment needed etc.)
• Provide quotes for equipment and analysis
• Prepare lab reports for their laboratory clients

Other duties as identified by the president:

Leading and submitting projects for the EU or other funding
