Description
My client within the financial sector is seeking to appoint a HR Specialist for a 6 months’ contract role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist professional technical support and manage the HR function.
Description
Minimum Requirements:
- Postgraduate Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- 15 years’ experience in the HR field preferable in the public sector.
- Knowledge of human resource IT systems, processes and policies.
- Analytical skills and ability to think and operate strategically.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality skills.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Knowledge of government policies and legal compliance issues in the public sector.
Key Performance Areas:
- Development and implementation of the strategic human resource strategy, plan and policies.
- Development and implementation of remuneration, compensation, employee development (capacity building), performance management, reward/ recognition, recruitment and retention and job evaluation systems and processes.
- Development, implementation and maintenance of an employee wellness program.
- Implementation and processing of disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Attend to recruitment and placements.
- Leave management systems administration.
- Manage the maintenance and ensure compliance with relevant requirements of individual employee and organization-wide HR records.
