Description

HR systems and employee services manager will be responsible for providing expert project management knowledge and insight to lead and support the Human Resources team and to ensure systems are fit for purpose, reviewed and updated to meet changes in industry, business and legislation in collaboration with Information Management. In addition, he/she will be required to manage the team, the current HR systems with an oversight on payroll.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify potential areas for continuous improvement with HR Systems including reporting and analytics
  • Lead and coordinate payroll
  • Manage the Kronos Advance Scheduler Implementation with key stakeholders
  • Have accountability for project timelines, governance and budget
  • Identify the appropriate resources required for the duration of a project delivery
  • Follow guiding principles and philosophy for the target HR operating model; establishing strong collaboration and partnerships across the business, technology, and implementation partners to achieve successful outcomes
  • Develop and lead ongoing project roadmaps, achievements and detailed implementation plans to identify and lead the team through interdependencies, risks and metrics
  • Build and manage relationships with key functional, operational management and technical partners (including external consultants and partners)
  • Monitor project team progress against deliverables and provide regular updates to all stakeholders
  • Coordinate the gathering of the HR requirements to define a scope and deliverables for projects in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Process owner for data governance and audit controls, with security and compliance as a prime focus
  • Ensure data integrity by running ad-hoc queries, frequent integrity checks and analysing data.
  • Work closely with Information Management and service providers to define and maintain interfaces between systems
  • Design and implementation of analytics and reporting
  • Manage internal and external audits

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Relevant Degree
  • Proven experience as an Integration Manager with HR systems design and implementation in a multi-geography environment
  • Solid HR systems knowledge in both payroll and time attendance in a large corporate environment.
  • Kronos time and attendance knowledge will be an added advantage
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix-management environment
  • Experience in complex business case development
  • Experience in HR systems vendor contract negotiations and selection
  • Experience in project governance
  • Experience in developing complex project plans
  • Experience in multi-geography implementations
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience of managing high value project budgets
  • Good understanding of SA and Botswana tax legislation
  • Influencing and change management skills
  • The ability to travel per the requirements of the project
