Description

To contribute to the development of the Human Resources strategy and lead on the delivery of the HR business plan. To ensure that the HR functions proactively supports the organization to achieve its overall business objectives. To lead, develop and motivate an effective and professional HRM team.

Working both at an operational and strategic level

Duties & Responsibilities

Full HR function and management of HR department including but not limited to:

  • Transitioning the business into a people-centred organisation
  • Employment contracts (all paperwork, employee info, contracts, performance-linked, job description)
  • Employee files – ensure that all documents are completed correctly and fully by each employee
  • Drafting, implementation and management of policies and procedures
  • Recruitment & selection
  • Industrial Relations – disciplinary matters, warnings, and related records and documents.
  • Performance Management
  • Provide expertise in the field of labour law, fair treatment, employee benefits, remuneration, learning and development and overall HR policies
  • Provide HR support to Department Managers, Business Team Managers, Internal & External Stakeholders, Department Teams and all other employees
  • Oversee & manage the HR administration function
  • HR admin – drafting all admin relating to an employee’s employment (incl. exit interviews, resignations, access cancellations, etc.)
  • Staff list – Ensure its updated and reflects correct information, ensure all access is cancelled, complete weekly.
  • Reports –weekly, monthly & annual – Staff turnover, leave audit, employee wellness
  • Employee wellness – Questionnaires, functions, budget, hype, etc.
  • Newsletter and birthday cards – to be completed 2 days prior to birthday, signed by all
  • Suggestion box – Report sent weekly
  • Payroll-related documents – New employees, terminations, leave, changes, incentives
  • Manage and lead HR projects and initiatives ensuring implementation on time and in budget
  • Establish training and development needs of staff through on-going process of evaluation and performance management and effectively ensuring implementation thereof
  • Manage HR team
  • Complete special projects, and miscellaneous duties as prescribed by Management

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Previous experience within HR Manager role
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Experience in disciplinary hearings and CCMA representation advantageous
  • Strong HR generalist experience, Financial Services Sales environment advantageous
  • Experience within a high- growth environment advantageous

 

Package & Remuneration

R25 000 to R30 000 per month
